Captain Sam Barbera and Chris Macaluso (C-Mac)

Chris Macaluso, C-Mac,  has been an avid hunting and fishing enthusiast his entire life. The son of Joe Macaluso, long-time outdoors editor at The Advocate in Baton Rouge and co-host of Paradise Louisiana Television, Chris spends as much time as possible fishing or hunting throughout Louisiana. He has been in the radio business for nearly a decade, covering news and sports and has hosted Eagle Outside since March 2008. In addition to covering the outdoors on radio, he also works as the Public Information Director for the Louisiana Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration and works part time as an outdoors and sports writer for various publications.

Sam “Captain Sam” Barbera grew up in Thibodaux; where fishing and hunting are a way of life.  After graduating from Nicholls State University, he went into the Army. The Nickname, “Captain Sam”, is from the military rather than maritime. Capt. Sam’s favorite place to fish is Lake Pontchartrain, where he has been crowned (nicknamed) “The Prince of the Pontchartrain”.  He is the tournament director of the Coastal Conservation Association’s STAR, a summer long and state wide fishing tournament.
